During a visit to Israel, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reaffirmed America’s steadfast commitment to its Middle Eastern ally, praising the nation’s resilience in the Israel-Hamas war as well as their democratic values.
When addressing Israeli leaders and citizens, Rubio described Israel as a nation that has stayed strong throughout immense challenges since its founding. He mentioned its role as a model of democracy and free enterprise in the Middle East.
“If there were more Israels in the Middle East,” he stated, “the world would be a safer and a better place.”
Rubio also emphasized the United States’ dedication to Israel’s security, asserting that America will continue supporting them.
“A nation that’s always sought peace but will not allow itself to be intimidated or destroyed by its enemies—and on that front, you can always count on us,” Rubio said.
