Poll: Most Americans support recent Supreme Court decisions

The majority of Americans approve of the job the U.S. Supreme Court is doing, according to a new Marquette Law School poll.

The poll shows that 51% approve of the work, an increase from 48% in a December poll. Marquette polled 1,018 adults between Jan. 27 and Feb. 5.

The poll showed that 83% believe a president is required to follow the court’s ruling if it ruled against the president while 87% believe the court can review laws passed by Congress to determine their constitutionality.

The poll also asked if the public is in support of the Supreme Court ruling to allow a law to require TikTok to be sold or banned in the country with 62% favoring the decision and 73% of those identifying as Republicans supporting the decision.

President Trump granted TikTok a 75-day reprieve from the law that banned the app.

Most Americans supported the court’s January decision to allow Trump to be sentenced for a felony conviction in New York court with 65% supporting the court’s decision while 57% of Republicans opposed the decision.
