At a recent executive order signing conference, President Donald Trump addressed reporters, defending his administration’s trade policies and pushing back against criticism from The Wall Street Journal.
Trump argued that foreign nations have taken advantage of the United States through unfair trade deals, which has been contributing to the national debt.
“Every single one of those countries is dying to make a deal,” Trump said. “Either very, very substantial tariffs are going to be paid by them, or they’re going to make some kind of a deal.”
